There are a number of companies that hire Online Tutors. Some of these are eHill.org, educate-online.com, tutor.com, kidspan.com and brainfuse.com. You will be required to have a computer and quiet environment. Some will supply you with a headset and others require that you purchase your own.

Tutoring companies usually require a college education. Some require a teaching certificate, but will often accept a teaching certificate if it expired but not if it was revoked.

Each company operates differently. Some hire employees and pay an hourly wage, usually around $10.00 to start. Others have you work as an independent contractor and you have to collect fees from your students yourself.

A number of companies have tests you will have to pass in order to qualify and be hired. For example, you may have to pass a math test Many have role playing telephone interviews, where you will be aske what you would do in certain situations.

Tutoring online can be a rewarding, experience. Check into each comany and see which one feels right for you.

You can earn enough cash and more to pay for your Christmas gifts writing Santa letters. Businessman Byron Reese, has made over 1 million dollars writing Santa letters!

Purchase holiday computer paper from companies such as Staples.com and PaperDirect.com. Write a general letter from Santa. When you take orders you should have a space for the customer to fill in basic information about their child. You can then mail merge these facts into your general Santa letter. You may include child’s name, age, favorite color, siblings, pets etc.

Advertise your letters at daycare centers, schools, community and buildings. You can also start a website or free blogspot advertising your letters from Santa.

Consider including small gifts in the letters like stickers or mini coloring books. You can purchase these cheaply at Oriental Trading. Purchase holiday stamps from the Post Office.

Make Money Pumpkin Painting

One of my relatives made close to $1,000 in October painting pumpkins. It is a simple and fun activity the whole family can enjoy.

Visit or call several  pumpkin patches to negotiate your best price on pumpkins. You will want to make several hundred pumpkins. The lower the price you purchase your pumpkins for, the more you can make.

Wash and dry each pumpkin. Use acrylic paints to paint cute faces and designs on each pumpkin. You can purchase stencils at craft supply stores. Or if you prefer you can purchase a kit with premade designs for pumpkin decorating like this one

For design ideas, think of using colors for sports teams, flowers, funny faces and more. Remember the more complicated the design the more you will want to charge.

You can also purchase or use items around the house to add “character” to your pumpkins. Baseball caps, yarn for hair, rhinestones…..let your creativity go wild.

Sell your pumpkins at yard sales, craft fairs, roadside stalls etc. To price your pumpkins factor in the price you paid for the pumpkins and material and add on a fee to cover your labor and time involved.

This is a great activity the whole family will love and you can make some nice extra cash!

Affiliate marketing is a method of generating income by placing ads in your blogs, newsletters, and other marketing material for products and services. Advertisers pay you based on customer sales, leads or clicks.

You register to be an affiliate either with an individual company or an affiliate site. Then you put banners, widgets, text links and other product information on your website, blog, newsletter etc. There are a number of different compensation structures. Payouts will differ according to the advertiser and the type of affiliate program you are workng with. Below are some typical methods of compensation.

Pay Per Click (PPC) – You are paid based on the number of clicks that result from your ad placement.

Pay Per Sale (PPC) - You are paid based on the number of sales that result from your ad placement.

There are many affiliate sites. After you have completed an application, you will have to be approved. Some sites approve automatically. Others will look at your website and make a decision. Get a Call Center Job (the Facts)

Work at home call center jobs are very competitive.  One company states they had over one hundred and fifty thousand applicants in 2008 and  hired less than 10 percent of the applicants. But there are many different companies. Apply to as many as you can to increase your chances.

Here are some things you should know if you are applying for a call center job:

~ Call center employees are usually paid either by the minute on the phone or by the hour. Generally wages run about $10.00 per hour, with less paid for training.
~ Raises are infrequent and generally small.
~ You are expected to be on the phone, with minimal breaks during your shift.
~ A zero noise tolerance is expected by most call centers. No barking dogs or crying kids in the background.
~ Health insurance benefits are usually minimal and often not a good value.
~ You don’t have to pay to drive to work, or for work clothes. You do have to pay for electricity to run your computer and for your phone line. You also have to provide a headset.
~ You will often have to pass a credit check (usually at your expense) and if you do not pass, you are not refunded the money. This usually runs about $40.00.
~ Many call center jobs are tough and demanding with company computer systems not always working correctly thus making your job more difficult.
~ There are a wide variety of call center companies and they have different personalities. Explore your options.
~ Yes you can work in your pj’s!

7 Tips to Get Organized to Earn at Home

One of the keys to maximizing your profits and earn money at home is to get organized. If you are spending time searching for passwords, looking for emails, hunting for online resources you wanted to remember you are wasting time and losing potential profit.

Here are 7 tips to help you get organized to maximize your earn at home profits.

1. Keep a address book to record your site log in information (passowords, user name) in. Though a regular notebook is fine and address book is easier to search if you frequent alot of sites.

2. Use two or three email address only, or you will waste time checking a variety of emails. Use one for your personal email, one for business and keep one for sites you join such as survey sites that may result in potential junk mail.

3. Keep a large notebook and pencil near your work area to record information. Don’t depend on little scraps of paper.

4. Save copies of your important work and back up your files.

5. Keep extras of supplies like printer ink, paper, and other goods that run out quickly.

6. Keep a calender near your desk to refer to.

7. Keep a hard copy of important phone numbers in a roledex in case your computer falters.
