Get a Work at Home Call Center Job (the Application)

· Filed Under At Home Jobs, Call Center Jobs · Comment

The application process for a work at home call center job can be intense and includes several parts.

It usually includes personality testing, assessment testing, an intial phone screening, a telephone interview and a background/credit check. In many cases fingerprinting and drug testing is also required.

Though each company is different. Here is the application process for one major work at home call center employer. Keep in mind other companies process may be different but most are similiar.

1. Appy for a work at home call center job at the companies website. Have on hand a resume and other details about your work history so you can easily fill in the data fields. As mentioned earlier you should apply to more than one company as some companies take months to respond.

2. Check your email frequently and check your spam pile. Many times emails from these companies will end up in your spam pile. If you have passed the initial application process an automated telephone interview is set up. You are given the questions in advance. You will be asked questions such as why you would make a good call center employee.Think through your answers and be as confident as possible as you complete this part of the interview process. Make sure you complete this in a quiet environment.

3. Once you have passed the phone screening, you will be given an online multiple choice test that asks what you would do in different work situations. Though the company claims there is no right or wrong answer, it is obvious that they are looking for a certain type of personality. These companies want employees who can think independently and problem solve but at the same time they do not want them to talk back to customers even if the customer is wrong.

4. The assessment test is next.  This test which can takes about an hour tests your listening, response and computer A voice will give you directions while you type in information in the data fields on the screen. In another part of the test, you may have to search for credit data. Everything is carefully explained. This is a timed test. Don’t give up during this section. Many pass even if they don’t complete it. Just do your best.

The next step is a live interview. Click to go to Get a Work at Home Job (the Interview).
